Health Promotion Board Picks New PR Agency

According to GeBIZ, Singapore's Health Promotion Board (HPB) has selected Ruder Finn Asia as its new public relations agency.

According to the first tender documents of MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Ruder Finn will be expected to provide result-oriented, efficient, cost-effective and personal public relations assistance to HPB, promoting the organization and its programs.

Ruder Finn is expected to provide comprehensive consulting services ranging from strategic consulting to tactical implementation and dedicated communication activities.

Ruder Finn will work with HPB to increase awareness, understanding and promotion of HPB's health promotion activities and programs and provide targeted media coverage of HPB and its programs across all platforms.

You will also work to develop and identify strong relationships with target media, build relationships and drive discussions with key opinion leaders and influencers to drive health promotion.

The contract requires the agency to develop and maintain a detailed bank of stories based on events, health trends or special interests, promote and secure relevant story opportunities in target media and develop in-depth stories.

You will also need to support media events by developing a communications plan, preparing and distributing media materials, preparing speeches, pitching stories, handling media inquiries and more.

In addition to these duties, Rudder Finn will be responsible for providing media monitoring and analysis for HPB. You will need to monitor all media, social media, forum posts and more to provide a daily media clipping report for HPB. Then you will need to manage any crisis messages that may arise.

The appointment comes shortly after HPB announced a bid to find a creative and marketing agency to handle creative strategy, production, social media, multichannel marketing and more.

The tender will be held from June 1, 2024 to March 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension for another three years until March 31, 2030, according to GeBIZ documents reviewed by MARKETING INTERACT.

According to a statement from R3 Asia Pacific, HPB's bid consultant, the new bid comes days after the pre-qualification phase for HPB's creative and digital marketing services closed, resulting in them not being shortlisted for changes in project requirements.
