Regional Health Communicators And Health Promotion Specialists Receive Training In Infodemic Management
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados. 23 Member States were represented at the meeting of the Regional Health Communication Network (RHCN) organized by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA). The meeting, held on July 5 and 6 at the Radisson Hotel in Barbados, was attended by medical observers and health promoters from the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands and the Caribbean.
During the two-day workshop, participants used case studies and simulation exercises to help build capacity to respond and respond to the pandemic. understand the impact of information management; Learn to control and understand the spread and impact of information. The meeting also provided participants with the opportunity to strengthen risk communication programs in their countries by developing an information framework for epidemic management. Project monitoring and evaluation were also part of the training programme.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Mark Sami, CARPHA's Director of Corporate Services, welcomed the audience and said:

The RHCN was established in 2015 by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) to develop, implement, maintain, monitor and evaluate communication responses to priority health problems in the region.
