According to the health ministry, Uttar Pradesh tops the list of states with the highest number of Ayushman cards (4.83 crore), followed by Madhya Pradesh (3.78 crore) and Maharashtra (2.39 crore).

“As of today, more than 7.5 million Ayushman cards have been generated in 2023-24. This means that 181 Ayushman cards will be generated every minute, the minister said.
Creation of Ayushman card has been included in the services offered in person by Vikishit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which was launched on November 15 last year, with an aim to provide coverage under various schemes.This campaign significantly contributed to the creation of maps at the local level.
Over 2.43 million Ayushman cards were generated during the yatra.
NHA has also launched Ayushman app to generate user card.
The success of this app can be gauged from the fact that since its launch on September 13 last year, the app has been downloaded more than 52,000 times.
“The program aims to achieve gender, regional and income equality in access to health services and 49 percent of Ayushman cards are given to women beneficiaries. Additionally, 48 percent of care provided through this program benefited women. "Gender equality is part of the main design of the program," said the minister.
6.2 million hospitals have registered under this scheme at a cost of over $79,157 million.
