Genshin Impact TCG: 7 Overpowered Cards That Need A Nerf
Genshin Impact Genius TCG Invocation is fun to play in PVE, but can also be played against other travelers. Because of this PVP feature, it's only natural that maps will be tweaked in future patches as the features are very powerful. Ganyu's elemental blast only costs 2 energy, but deals 9 heavy machine guns in total. This number is laughable compared to other characters with two energies. As an example, here is a list of the total damage of about 2 energy units:
- Xiangling : 6 DMG (costs 4 dice)
- Kaeya : 7 DMG (worth 4 dice)
- Xingqiu : 7 damage

Now compare this with the 3 energy symbol:

- Distribution : 8 dmg
- Fish : 8 damage
- Legs : 8 DMG
- Ningguang : 8 DMG
- Keqing : 10 DMG (costs 4 cubes)
With only 9 HSR worth 3 dice and 2 energy, Burst Ganyu can outrun even 3 energy symbols.
6/7 Ganyu Talent Card
- Proposed changes :
- Cost : 4 cryocubes
- Effect : After Ganyu completes this card, immediately use Qilin Path (Elemental Skill) once. When Ganyu creates Ice Lotus with this card, it starts at +1.
Back in Ganya, he also has a very powerful charged attack. For a whopping 5 dice, he can only deal 7 DMG, which is reasonable. However, this number can be increased to an insane 10 DMG with his talent card. Obviously 10 DMG for 5 Dice is very powerful as it is stronger than most Elemental Blast.
Therefore, in order to paralyze the power of Ganyu, it is best to completely remove the effect of the charged attack boost. Instead, it should be a useless talent card like Xingqiu that only adds utility to his defense.
5/7 Jungkyun's talent
- Suggested Change : One of the effects has been removed, so +1 turn or +1 HSR.
In the Genshin Impact Genius Invocation TCG, Jungkyun's elemental skills provide a cryo-infection for each character with a sword, claymore, and halberd, just like in the original game. Unlike TCG's elemental abilities, which reduce the amount of damage when assists are activated, Jungkyun's elemental abilities deal the normal 3 ALL when controlling a cryo field , which lasts for 2 turns.
If the draw is favorable, players may use 4 cryo dice to activate the Chongyun talent card. This talent card changes the effect of his elemental ability to +1 BOTH for 3 turns of Cryoinfusion and Basic Sword/Claymore/Polearm Attack .
This add-on is quite powerful compared to other talent cards. For example, Xingqiu and Dione's talent cards only provide an extra shield for their elemental abilities, while Xiangling's card only allows her to give 1 Pyro ALL when she summons Goban. Meanwhile, Jungkyun gets another round of cryoinfusion and unlimited BOTH +1.
When players play Xingqiu and Chongyu in permanent team freeze, all Sword/Claymore/Clearm characters will BOTH fight 3 Cryo per normal attack. Combine this with Xingqiu's Infinite Freeze with his best to get 3 extra Hydro DMG .
To disable Jungkyun's talent card, the effect must be combined with 3 turns of Cryo Infusion or 2 turns of +1 DMG Infusion . Alternatively, it's OK if the card offers 3 turns of Cryo Infusion and +1 DMG, but the bonus should ALWAYS be capped immediately per turn.
4/7 Ekaterina

Katherine is definitely one of the best cards in the Genshin Impact Genius Invocation TCG. Once per round you can switch between characters without wasting a dueling round. It is very useful in many situations. For example, Katherine can be used to dodge the opposing team's eternal freeze, or attack opponents before they change characters.
Currently Katherine can be used with any 2 dice. This makes it a very popular card, but even though it requires 2 dice of the same element , it is still present in most players' decks.
Wolf Tombstone 3/7
- Suggested Changes : Adjust Passive once per turn or +1 HSR.
Equipment is an important part of the Genshin Impact Genius Invocation TCG. There are weapons and artifacts, and as for weapons, players have the option of using 3 to 5 star gear. Among the 5 star gear available to Claymore users is the Wolf Tombstone.
Like most weapons, it grants +1 HSR to all damage, but also offers other passives; If the enemy has 6 HP or less, the user deals +2 DMG . +2 DMG is good given the requirements, but what is unfair is that this bonus is unlimited . 1/7 Liyue port direction
- Suggested changes : Deal 1 card on turn 2 and 2 cards on turn 3.
Liyue Harbor Pier requires 2 dice of the same element and gives 2 cards at the start of the next 2 turns (4 total). Since there are only 30 cards in the deck, drawing 4 cards in 2 turns is very powerful. Players can simply scatter this effect to always get the cards they need.
When duelists think that two of these cards can be active at the same time, and players can cast them even with 0 dice with Tubby, Liyue Harbor Pier becomes even more valuable. 4 cards per turn is an insane value.
Therefore, the effect of this card can be changed to reduce its effectiveness; Deal 1 card for 3 rounds or 1 card for 2 rounds and 2 cards for the third round .
