Local Health Expo Is October 20

HomePorts, in partnership with the Kent County Health Department, University of Maryland Shore Regional Health and the Kent County YMCA, will host a free health and wellness fair on Thursday, October 20 from 8:00 a.m. Until 1:00 p.m. the event will be held at the Kent County Family YMCA, 200 Scheeler Road in Chestertown.

The largest health fair in the region is a great opportunity to learn more about the health problems we face or may have and to think about how we can be better.

Attendees can visit over 50 exhibitors and choose from seven educational sessions led by experts in a variety of health topics;

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Lara Wilson, Director of Rural Healthcare Transformation, and Dennis Welch, Vice President of Rural Healthcare Transformation and CEO, UM Shore Medical Center in Chestertown, will meet in attendance and answer questions. Changes and projects in the local hospital.

In addition, Chester River Pharmacy will provide flu vaccinations. Participants are required to bring insurance cards with a prescription.
