Did you know that many departments on campus have dedicated BCC clinics that work in the community? Invite our dynamic community therapists to talk about the program, their unique approach and what sets community therapy apart from traditional BCC services.

How to support a person in trouble
Don't worry, you got it! In this workshop, you will learn about common warning signs, basic speaking/listening skills of the concerned peer, and how and when to contact BCC and/or other campus advocates.

How to develop listening, empathy and appreciation skills
Have you ever been stuck on what to say to a friend when they ask for support? Are you listening to understand or respond? We review and practice the basics of active listening, as well as the most common successes and failures of empathy and validation.

Impostor syndrome for the marginalized
While many people suffer from delusions (chronic self-doubt and delusions), people from marginalized and/or underrepresented groups in the workplace/school tend to suffer the most. This presentation focuses on identifying and managing these feelings, with a specific focus on how they develop in different groups of people.

Safe boundaries and communication What are boundaries? In this program you will learn about different types of boundaries and how they help us stay true to our needs. The training concludes with a discussion of how we can maintain our boundaries through safe communication.

In this educational workshop we will discuss the origins, costs and benefits of chronic disease management. Using topics such as compassion depletion, burnout, and exposure to marginalized populations, we will examine how these patterns contribute to irrational thinking and beliefs. Participants will feel empowered to redefine healthcare.
