Polaska, Wes. (WBAY) - Today we see another example of community support. Another fundraising campaign is being organized to help teenagers who were seriously injured in a fire explosion.

We reported that dozens of Pulaski teenagers, including college students and recent graduates, were attending a homecoming celebration in a private home when their campfire broke out. Investigators say a 55-gallon barrel about a quarter filled with a mixture of diesel and gasoline was thrown into the fire. The teens were taken to the hospital. Some were so badly burned that they were taken to a burn unit in Milwaukee, where they are still receiving treatment.

There is no shortage of support for victims and their families. In fact, it is growing.

Starting Thursday, Bellin Health locations in Pulaski and Bondwell will accept donations of gift cards, gas cards, toiletries, books and more to help victims and their families (see the full list at the end of this article).

It was the brainchild of about 20 employees in two locations. They are all passionate about helping others and in this way they can show families that they are not alone.

“Everyone at Beilin Health Bundwell and Pulaski has expressed a sincere interest in promoting initiatives to support these families,” said Kimberly Buettner.

Buettner, the clinic's team leader for both locations and Seymour, says they are committed to serving their communities on a professional and personal level.

“We sincerely hope that we can make a positive difference to the families and victims affected by this tragedy. No matter how big or small the donation, every donation is greatly appreciated.”

Buettner said they will accept donations as long as they are needed.

The Pulaski Clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bonduel Clinic accepts donations Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Isaac Nelson's aunt said Thursday that he is getting better. He eats and dines alone while watching a game of Bucks.

The other victim, Lily Kellner, did not have surgery. His family and friends hope he can go home this weekend and are grateful for the outpouring of support.

Brzezkowski, a Brandon fundraiser, says Brandon can't believe the amount of support he's received, such as CARE kits, fuel cards, and groceries. He said before the operation on Wednesday. "I'm good".

“We support them all together, every single one of them,” Buettner said. "Let them know they haven't forgotten and that the community is here to support each and every one of them."
