Patients come first

I am a Sterile Processing Supervisor and previously worked with Elizabeth Bell. I want to thank you for working behind the scenes to ensure patient safety. (Oct. 19, 8a, “There were roaches in Kansas City hospital, tools were rusty, former employee says”). He is the voice of the sterile processing industry and we are very fortunate to have him.

Elisabetta is a serious and passionate professional. As a leader and manager, he has helped develop my career.

He is an advocate for best practices and a true believer in the processes and procedures required for sterile processing departments. He is the teacher and the guide. It engages its employees and allows them to learn, understand and understand the reasons behind the policies. Can skillfully create standard operating procedures and train employees to hold them accountable for the decisions they make. It was a pleasure to work under his leadership, guided by his knowledge and experience.

Elizabeth is an inspiring and innovative leader and I am honored to be her mentor.

Proud Midwest

Of course, Arkansas and Oklahoma are part of the Midwest. (Oct. 23, 7a, “Where is the Midwest? The Debate Continues from State to State”) I took part in the economic migration known as the Great Depression. Radio comedians of the time often joked: "How do we distinguish Arki from Oka?" The Arkie has a mattress attached to the roof of the car, while the Okie has two mattresses. Next week there will be the same joke, but in reverse.

Growing up in rural eastern Los Angeles County, I lived in fear when I learned that my father was born in Arkansas. I knew I wasn't Archie or Okie: I was born in Missouri.

My mother's entire family remained in Missouri. My father's whole family moved to California. However, they all eventually returned to Arkansas. They worked whatever jobs they could find, but took their meager pensions to Arkansas. If Arkansas and Oklahoma aren't the Midwest, what are?

Maybe it's worth solving the accent problem. The Midwestern accent is highly sought after by public radio and television producers as the easiest language to understand.

By name

Considering the dysfunction, chaos, and extremism of today's Republican Party, the Republican Party should advocate the following:

The main opposition party

President of the Order of the Mask

Panic team

Ghost party

The old boss is in charge

Plague group

Zombie party

Complaints from politicians

Nice seasoned feast

He learned to drive

This summer I had the honor of participating in Bank of America's Student Leaders program, where I had the opportunity to work with a corps of young volunteers. The experience was about contributing to the well-being of the Kansas City community, learning the value of diversity, and immersing yourself in an ethic of service that will last forever. Student leaders were also tasked with creating a website that highlighted our collective experiences with the youth volunteer corps and the valuable work of the organization.

Bank of America's Student Leaders program demonstrates a commitment to educating and guiding young people toward meaningful employment opportunities. I have been inspired by many role models in Kansas City's Hispanic community and have always been driven by a sense of duty to give back. For example, being bilingual is not only proof of my heritage, but it is also a tool I use to bridge gaps and bring communities together. I believe true leadership is about pushing boundaries for the benefit of everyone, regardless of their background.

As a student leader at Bank of America Kansas City, I encourage everyone to consider this program because not only have I learned valuable life skills, but I have also developed lasting relationships that I will always cherish.
