Paid Family Leave Portal Launched For Colorado Health Care Providers
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) has launched My FAMLI+, an online portal that streamlines the process for healthcare workers preparing for the state's upcoming paid family leave requirements.
The new platform serves as a "one-stop shop" for a number of licensed physicians and emergency responders involved in recommending leave for Colorado workers welcoming a newborn, experiencing a serious illness or caring for loved ones. Situation.
Most employees in Colorado will have paid leave available on January 1st. CDLE's Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) division has launched the My FAMLI+ portal to facilitate a more efficient process for healthcare professionals.
Governor Jared Polis expressed his support for the development.
"Colorado eliminates red tape and ensures that workers can easily get help when they need it most," police said. "Coloradians deserve high-quality insurance plans and resources that meet their needs and give them the flexibility to care for themselves and their families without leaving the workforce forever."
The FAMLI unit has been actively collecting benefit and salary reports since the beginning of 2023 in preparation for posting benefit payments in the coming year. This program aims to expand access to paid leave for workers facing life-changing events.
Tracy Marshall, a board-certified registered nurse with more than 25 years as a case manager and disability management specialist, leads the new FAMLI department. Marshall oversaw the development of the My FAMLI+ portal to improve the patient experience and reduce administrative burdens for healthcare providers.
“No one goes into health care because they like to do a lot of paperwork,” Marshall said. "I'm proud to say that our portal will support Colorado workers without disrupting our busy healthcare providers."
