Ozzy Osbourne Says He's 'Gotta Get Back On That Stage' Following Health Woes: 'I Ain't Gonna Stop'

Ozzy Osbourne did not release live.

The 74-year-old Black Sabbath rocker spoke to Yahoo Entertainment this week about his upcoming spring/summer 2023 tour dates and said he has no intention of letting recent health issues derail those plans.

"I just want to get back on that stage. I have to get back on that stage. It's driving me crazy, I can't," Osborne told the publication. "I can't relax. I always have something to do."

"I can call it a day, but I can't stop ," he continued. "There's nothing better than a good concert and nothing better than a bad concert, because a bad concert makes you want to do a better concert! A good concert is better than sex or drugs. Nothing else compares."

The rocker, who just celebrated his birthday on Dec. 3, survived a fall in 2019 that aggravated previous neck and back injuries, has since had two more procedures, been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and now uses a cane. “I remember when I was 69 and thinking: 'I'm getting old, when do I start again? And suddenly, when I turned 70, the floodgates opened. It was something," Osborne told Yahoo! "It's been the longest illness of my life."

The Dark Prince will soon start playing on the 19th starting in May and ending in June, premiering in Finland. During the tour, he stopped everywhere from Spain to Germany to London. And as he told People in September, he's determined to get back out there, regardless of what's going on personally.

"I'm here," Osborne said. "The affair I heard was the greatest love affair of my life."

"I am determined to return to the stage, even if I have to walk on a plank," he said. "Salvation is my heritage."

As Osborne explained to Yahoo, "It's not work, it's what I do. It's a passion . I don't have to get up at seven in the morning to work all day. It's a beautiful life ... so considering everything I've accomplished over the years." I can't complain.''

“I still shudder to think about the things I did, you know? Because I could die," he said. "I've been there, done that and survived. It eventually caught me and bit me, but it didn't kill me. And I won't stop. "

Elsewhere, in an interview with People, Osbourne said he still feels "young at heart," but as a grandfather he met his wife Sharon in 1982.

The Osbournes have three children - Amy, 39, Kelly, 37, and Jack, 36 - and they have their own! Jack has daughters Pearl (10), Andy (7) and Minnie (4) with ex-wife Lisa Staley. Her fourth, Maple, arrived in July with fiancé Are Gerhart. Kelly recently welcomed her first child, a son, with Slipknot partner Sid Wilson.

"Every time I see the girls, it's amazing to me that they're learning something different. They're beautiful," Osborne said.

Even now, more than five decades into his career, Osbourne is still feeling the love from his fans on September's LP Patient No. 9 . The album won Grammy Awards for Best Metal Performance, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song ahead of the ceremony in February.
