Biden's HHS Continues To Politicize Your Health Care And Marginalize People Of Faith

In addition, this HHS effort encourages other government agencies to follow suit and use its rules as a “model” for developing their own rules that address religious objections.

The Biden administration promised Americans that the new HHS proposals would not affect religious freedom, but that nonsense is falling apart. For five years, HHS has opposed health care workers and hospitals against the Franciscan Alliance. Becerra for violating the 2016 version of their rules, which also required them to compromise their religious beliefs and medical judgment.

Even after a federal court granted the religious plaintiffs a permanent injunction against violating the rule, lawyers for the federal government and the ACLU aggressively challenged the court's decision. So much for upholding the First Amendment.

HHS's ongoing lawsuits against religious plaintiffs from the Franciscan Alliance significantly demonstrate that the Biden administration is driven more by political ideology than a genuine desire to prevent "discrimination." It also serves as a warning to faith-based health care providers and insurers when the new rule becomes official.

So what do we expect from conscious Americans?

One option in particular is not defined or limited by the new rule. Ministry of Health (HCSM). Free from the federal and anti-faith restrictions of the Affordable Care Act, HCSMs, including Solidarity HealthShare, which I co-founded, are an ethical alternative to traditional health care that does not accept federal funding from HHS and thus allows members to receive accessible, quality service without mocking conscience and religious beliefs.

If HHS continues its aggressive politicization of health care for all Americans, it will quickly exclude millions of conscientious citizens from health care.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the mission. But luckily, there are faith-affirming options like Solidarity HealthShare.
